The Women's Ministry at Thomasville Road Baptist Church seeks to help women find and follow Jesus through discipleship, fellowship, mentoring, encouragement, and especially by coming alongside women wherever they are in their faith journey.
“When she speaks, her words are wise, and she gives instructions with kindness.” Proverbs 31:26 NLTMark your calendars now for one of our most popular women’s events! Come experience faith, fellowship, fun, friends, and even door prizes! We meet the first Tuesday evening of most months from 6:30 to 8:30 pm in the TRBC Fellowship Hall. It’s a vibrant event where women can recharge, connect, and form lasting, supportive friendships, while drawing near to Christ!
"The fruit of that righteousness will be peace; its effect will be quietness and confidence forever." - Isaiah 32:17 NIV
"Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied." - Matthew 5:6 ESV
"'The days are coming,' declares the Lord, 'when I will raise up for David a righteous Branch, a King who will reign wisely and do what is just and right in the land. 6 In his days Judah will be savedand Israel will live in safety. This is the name by which he will be called: The Lord Our Righteous Savior.'" - Jeremiah 23:5-6 NIV
Kelxy Rowell is a born and raised Tallahassee native who was also faithfully raised in the church. Just before her 6th grade year, her family began attending and eventually joining Thomasville Road Baptist Church. Near the end of her 6th grade year, Kelxy committed her life to Christ as her Savior and Lord. Later on in 7th grade at TRBC, Kelxy met her future husband, Aaron Rowell. As a youth student, Kelxy enjoyed serving through opportunities like VBS and mission trips.
Kelxy was homeschooled and graduated from high school in 2015. She graduated from TCC with her AA degree in 2017, and shortly afterward married Aaron, the love of her life. Kelxy and her husband moved to attend Leavell College at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, following God’s call to vocational ministry. In 2020, Kelxy graduated from NOBTS with a Bachelors in Christian Ministry.
While in New Orleans, Kelxy enjoyed serving God by teaching a youth Sunday school class, supporting her husband’s ministry in any way she could, and being the RAs of their campus apartment building. After living there for 3 years, God called Aaron and Kelxy back to Tallahassee and TRBC for Aaron to work in the youth ministry. Kelxy simultaneously began working in TRBC’s children’s ministry. Their first summer back they became parents and welcomed their first child, a daughter they named Iona. 16 months later, they welcomed their second daughter, Naya, to their family.
